Dairy Sour Cream
Is also known as cultured sour cream. It does not freeze well. To avoid curdling sour cream, add it at the end of the cooking process over low heat while stirring gently. Do not overstir. One tablespoon of sour cream has 25 calories.
Cut In
The blending of shortening or another solid fat with a flour mixture. This is done by working the ingredients together with a pastry blender, large fork or two knives until the combined mixture resembles small crumbs or peas.
Chocolate-Dipped Fruit
    - Microwave 1 c (6 oz) of Nestlé® Toll House® Morsels and 2 Tablespoons of vegetable shortening in a small, microwave-safe bowl on high (100% power) for 1 minute.
    - Remove from the microwave and stir.
    - Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
    - Dip fruit into chocolate mixture, carefully shaking off the excess.
    - Place on waxed paper-lined tray and chill for 15 minutes, or until coating is set.
Fold
To combine ingredients lightly. With a spatula, cut down through the mixture. Slide spatula across the bottom, then up and over. Repeat and turn bowl frequently until evenly distributed.
