Lessons from the NESTLÉ Test Kitchen
The next day, Brenda and Terry got an all-day lesson from Jenny and the rest of the NESTLÉ Test Kitchen folks, learning eight different recipes and too many baking skills to count. Brenda recalls, “My favorite recipe was the NESTLÉ CHOCOLATIER™ Chocolate Cake.”
Terry got into the spirit of the day and learned some recipes he liked just as much, including a Pepperoni Pizza Quiche.
Then, to get the true flavor of how the NESTLÉ Test Kitchen works, the team tested one of Brenda’s own recipes, her famous Old-Fashioned Lemon Bread! They made the recipe three times and tried it out on a blind taste test panel. The results are in...Brenda’s Old-Fashioned Lemon Bread is fantastic!

As soon as our winners arrived home, Terry went right out to the grocery store so he could make a pepperoni quiche and take it to work. Brenda gives us the rest of the story, “The guys laughed and said that real men don’t eat quiche. But the whole thing was gone by the end of the day.” Terry obviously learned a thing or two in the NESTLÉ Test Kitchen.
Did Brenda enjoy the experience as much as Terry? “If I lived anywhere near Cleveland, I’d apply for a job at the test kitchen. It seems like a lot of fun and they all get along so well. It was like cooking with family.” We’ll take that as a “yes”.
